Submission object | Prolific API

A submission transitions through multiple statuses.

RESERVED: Initial state, the participant got a place for your study. By default, we reserve the study place for 10 minutes.
ACTIVE: The participant has started your experiment or survey.
TIMED-OUT: The submission has timed out, the participant does not have access to the study link. The max time allowed is calculated based on the estimated time for the study, it is always less than 24 hours.
AWAITING REVIEW: The participant has completed your experiment or survey.
APPROVED: The submission has been approved and paid.
RETURNED: The participant returns their submission, acknowledging they will not be paid for it. The study place becomes available for another participant.
REJECTED: Submission has been rejected. The participant is not paid. The study place becomes available for another participant.
SCREENED OUT: The participant has been screened out. The participant is paid a fixed reward defined in the fixed reward screen out completion code.
